Not as good as the first book in the series. There was a little too much internal monologue about why Raina and Duncan couldn't be together long term, why they were bad for each other, etc. The suspense plot suffered in this one too. The elements to that part of the story felt tacked on and filler-ish, not interesting at all. Of course the dialogue and sex scenes were fantastic--that's Ms. McKenna's strong suit for sure. The shortcomings of this book won't stop me from reading the other books in the series though. Even on a bad day, this author is still better than most.
